Georgi set to pass 900 goal mark!

George Dimovski is set to move past the 900 goals scored mark when he suits-up this season with our GRFA Mens team.
Georgi is sitting on 897 goals but should move past the 900 mark by half-time of our first match.

@38 years young Georgi is the most potent striker in Geelong, averaging a staggering 3.24 goals a game over the past 4 seasons. Had it not been for his countless suspensions Georgi would no doubt have already passed the 1000 goals mark.
So far only the greats Pele & Romario have scored over 1000 goals, though their tallies include goals scored while playing in juniors & friendly matches. Georgi's 897 goal tally only includes senior FFA sanctioned matches. Georgi's goal tally would be well over 1500 if meaningless matches were included.

Many football analysts, rate Georgi as a superior finisher to Geelong greats; Kris Trajonovski, Tony Reed, Lube Dimovski, Lupcho Gruevski, & Jasmin Ikanovic (current 1st team regular).  However many of his past and current team mates throw criticism at Georgi's conditioning, complaining "with Goergi on the field it's like playing with 10 men".

Georgi also continues to hold the Geelong SC consecutive successful penalty kicks. His streak stands at 47 penalty conversions. His last miss was back in 2001 when Preston Lion's Phil Trianidis managed to get a hand onto Georgi's kick pushing the ball onto the post. Georgi recovered the ball, blasting it into the net but technically that penalty kick was a miss.
