Open Women let themselves down v Surfside

A GAME OF TWO HALVES.
Our girls began the match flat and disappointingly allowed Surfside to jump to a three goal lead at the break. Angela and Steph were our best contributers for the half.
After some positional changes during the break, Geelong were able to apply their force on Surfside and seriously challenge for a win. With Milly up forward and Nicole in her new role in defense, Geelong appears to have finally laid the foundations of a solid structured team. The girls rallied in the second half to redeem some credibility in the match, not conceding any further goals. The end result being Geelong 0-3 Surfside.
