Open Women: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN AGAINST ELEVEN

An “AWESOME” team effort by a team of seven Geelong girls pushed top of the ladder Surfside to the brink.

Taking the lead after a superb goal by Emily Livesey , Geelong were able to signify to Surfside that they have earn our respect. With the score being one all at the break, Surfside came out in the second half strongly. Two quick goals by Surfside saw Geelong trail 1-3 early in the second half.

Not to be outdone and detered , Geelong once again through Emily Livesey showed their “TRUE” heart and pegged back the score to make it 2-3. At the end, fatigue set in after we poured our heart and soul into the game. Even though losing 2-4, the girls displayed  “MAGNIFICENT”  courage and team spirit.

STAND TALL  and be VERY, VERY , PROUD…… FANTASTIC EFFORT GIRLS………
