President's Report 2011

It’s a great delight that the Geelong Soccer Club was able to field 13 men’s/women/and junior teams for the 2011 season.

As president and on behave the Geelong Soccer committee we wish to congratulate the women’s open team as cup champion & league runners up 2011. Also to be congratulated are our under 17 & 12 boys as cup champions.

We also thank all junior coaches & assistants in the progress of our junior program.

It is unfortunate that Geelong SC senior team state 2 will now be playing in state 3.

We wish all club members the best for the season 2012.

Important notice

In 2011 and several previous years the Geelong committee has consisted of 6 board members being responsible for junior and senior teams and three of those members having administration duties on top of multi tasking.

As the above statement indicates that it is quite obvious that the committee is short staffed and there fore making it difficult to achieve set tasks. Therefore we urge all members senior/junior to attend AGM on 16/10/2011 at 2pm at stead park res. Members will have the opportunity to voice their opinions and assist for not only the present but for the future progress of the club if there is to be one left

The club requires members to contribute in the following areas:
