U/16 GIRLS OUT NUMBERED BUY NOT OUTPLAYED.
The U/16 girls faced off with Barwon Red with only 8 players for the full game. But this did not deter their desire to win the ball at all costs. Their determination was eventfully rewarded when Millie latched onto a through ball and easily sent it into the back of the net. Only to see it rebound back into play after hitting the back member of the goals. To her credit she dually slotted it back into the net, this time the referee saw the ball in the net, much to everyone`s amusement. Two goals for the price of one!

Solid defending by Amber and Jordyn repelled any offensive attacks by Barwon to go in 1 nil up at halftime. A very inspiring, emotional  and heat-felt plea by the coach ignited the flame within Geelong to continue their dominating game of play... The ensuing half saw Millie score her second goal and Nicole another two goals to make it 4 -0 to Geelong at fulltime. Unfortunately for Nicole, time was against her and she was unable to score her third goal and claim her prize she so dearly wanted. Better luck next week Nicole. A SUPER effort girls.
