Open Women in shoot-out with Breakwater

SARAH SOARS TO SCORE…….

Even though trailing 2-0 after 30minutes Geelong did not bow to top of the ladder Breakwater. Three touches were enough for our girls to get a goal back on Breakwater. A perfectly directed through ball from keeper Emily to Steph  was all that was needed for Steph  to present young Emily Livesey with the most perfect of passes to score for Geelong. Minutes later the scores were level. A precisely taken corner by Steph was superbly rewarded by Sarah, who placed the most “PERFECT” header beyond any keepers reach. Sarah`s power, accuracy and commitment was the inspiration to put the spring back into Geelong`s game. {Best goal }.The awe and emotions were vibrant. Though conceding another goal and going down 2-3, we were greatly supported by Steph, Sumyera, Kate and Sarah.
