Sunday Mens Team wins 4-1

On the weekend at Stead Park, our GRFA team defeated Surfcoast.

Our team is holding second position on the ladder and with eight rounds to play, it is likely our boys will be making another finals series appearance.

The victory on the weekend came easy  thanks to excellent contributions from our debutants Nick Bosevski, Dylan, Shiva, and Billy.

Boz lead our midfield, and pretty much controlled the play all day. He capped an excellent porformance by scoring our forth goal with a sharp toe-poke after a long run into the box. Unlike many previous Saturday team players who step-up to play on Sundays, Boz coped extremely well with the higher standards of Sunday League soccer. Unfortunately for him Mr T was not at the match to witness his work.

Dylan scored our first goal with a tidy first-time left footed strike from inside the box. He finished a nice team build-up which started on the right of midfield, Boga switched the play with a long ball to Branne on the left. Branne beat his man and crossed from the bye-line to the penalty spot where Dylon finished the play perfectly.

Boga also set-up our second and third goals with precise crosses from the right of midfield. On both occasions Branne finished Boga's good work by striking the crosses into net.

Surcoast scored a late consilation goal but our boys were never really troubled, deserving their win.

Best players included Shiva, Koore, Boz, and Boga.

Next week we travel to Ocean Grove, 1:00pm Shell Reserve.
