1st win sees GeelongSC move to 7th on Ladder

Last weekend GeelongSC won their first match of the season after three attempts. In an impressive display they defeated Brunswick City 4-1.
The win has moved the team all the way up to 7th on the ladder thanks to a raft of misdemeanours committed by rival clubs.
In a vastly compromised division (Football Federation Victoria's State League Div2 North-West), four clubs - Werribee City, FC Clifton Hill, Westgate and Brunswick City - each had three points deducted by the FFV tribunal.
Clifton Hill lost their points for their win in round 1 against GeelongSC, they had fielded suspended players. However, the result still stands for GeelongSC, a loss and -2 goal difference.
Next weekend, GeelongSC travels to Partridge Reserve to take-on 2nd placed Whittlesea FC.
